Prince Andrew's accuser, Virginia Giuffre, claims she is dying following a car crash involving a school bus.
Virginia Giuffre shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, her face covered in bruises.
“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure; they’ve given me four days to live,” she wrote.
She stated that a school bus traveling at 110 km/h (68 mph) struck her car as it was slowing down for a turn but did not specify when or where the crash occurred.
When contacted by America News Today, Giuffre’s spokesperson, Dini von Mueffling, confirmed, “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”
In her post, Giuffre expressed a desire to see her children “one last time” before she passed away.
"I'm ready to go, but not before I see my babies one last time. Though, as they say, wishes don’t always come true," she said.
Giuffre was among the most high-profile accusers of wealthy sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
In 2019, she publicly claimed that Epstein trafficked her and coerced her into having sex with his associates, including Prince Andrew, when she was 17. She also alleged that the prince knew she was underage under U.S. law at the time.
Prince Andrew, also known as the Duke of York, has repeatedly denied the allegations.
In 2021, Giuffre filed a lawsuit against him for alleged sexual abuse.
The following year, Giuffre reached an out-of-court settlement with Prince Andrew for an undisclosed amount.
Andrew later paid the settlement, and attorneys for both parties filed a stipulation to dismiss the lawsuit.
A court filing announcing the settlement stated, “Prince Andrew intends to make a substantial donation to Ms. Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights. Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms. Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks.”
Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to state prostitution charges. In July 2019, he was indicted on federal sex trafficking charges, with prosecutors accusing him of orchestrating a decades-long scheme of sexually abusing underage girls. He allegedly flew them on private planes to his properties in Florida, New York, New Mexico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Before he could stand trial, Epstein died by suicide in prison.
